Artist's Statement
More than Sun-God, Apollo, Lord of Light, is patron of music and poetry.
Nietzsche saw Apollo as the western version of the Hindu God Vishnu. Vishnu, in his incarnation as Narayana floats on the Cosmic Sea dreaming the lotus-dream of the universe.
He shapes the world out of one substance, himself. All figures in the dream are but refractions of that same substance, Apollo.
We are Apollo. We are the figures in that dream. All is conditioned by our perceptions through our organs of creation, our senses. Like a feedback loop, we interpret the field of creation as it in turn defines us.
1) Apollo dreams of nature as a bird.
2) Apollo is blue
3) What color is the bird?
4) Would you like a capuccino?
